Lemon & Thyme Blueberry Smoothie

Don't let the addition of fresh herbs in your smoothie scare you. Thyme, especially, is a fragrant & tasty way to change your typical smoothie into an extraordinary blast of flavor!

Thyme herb contains thymol, one of the important essential oils. Thymol has been found scientifically to have antiseptic and anti-fungal characteristics. And get this: scientists at Leeds Metropolitan University in England tested the effects of thyme on sufferers of acne, and found that ingesting thymol may be more effective than using acne creams! 


We are all for natural remedies. Especially when they taste as good as this:


Lemon & Thyme Blueberry Smoothie:


Ingredients:

1 small Banana
1 cup frozen Blueberries
1/2 tsp. fresh Thyme, minced
1/2 juiced Lemon
1 tbsp. Honey
1 cup Unsweetened almond milk 
2 scoops Nanopro vanilla protein powder (optional)

Blend all ingredients and enjoy!
